Services Due Diligence
Description SPI Consultancy was engaged in providing the Client with consultancy services within the framework of the lender’s technical due diligence associated with procurement of external financing to help fund the development of container terminal project and subsequent construction works.
In its role, SPI Consultancy provided the independent lender’s technical advisor with the input related to the equipment procurement and the civil and infrastructure update of the existing terminal including upgrade of the existing main quay with a deeper draft, development of additional berth length, refurbishment of the existing berth, conversion of existing yard into an RTG container yard, procurement of new quay cranes and E-RTGs, pavement works, development of new buildings and facilities and implementation of automation, OCR and advanced ITC systems.

Services Technical Advisory
Description Providing the Client with consultancy services related to the contract management and design coordination on site with main emphasis on addressing design variations that arose from the changes in terminal operation philosophy and technical assistance to the local teams with the international container terminal construction and operation practice input. SPI Consultancy also was engaged in acting as liaison with the yard equipment manufacturer with regards to infrastructure interfaces.
Main works comprised of landside development of a specialist container facility, with the area developed into an Automatic Stacking Crane (ASC) container yard supported by an intermodal yard, a gate complex, and administration building, a workshop, refueling and wash down facilities.
